The Gratitude Letter

Here is the exercise (which came from an experiment in positive psychology): Trying to discover what increases life satisfaction, a group of participants were asked to think of a person who has supported them and write them a letter detailing their gratitude.

Sending it was optional but participants reported great experiences not only from writing the letters but also if they did have an opportunity to share it with the person they had identified.
