Day_18

You may spend 7 or more hours a day, 5 days a week there. Especially when there are challenges, it can be easier to gripe about our environment than be grateful for it. But remembering all the good stuff is what this site is about. So what do you appreciate about your school or workplace? Share here:

I am thankful that I have had time to work full time in my life, have kids and work full time, and have kids and not work out of the house full time. I enjoy the flexiblity of being an At-Home-Mom now, and now picking up a simple job of DOG WALKING, in my two spare hours that I have each day!
I love Dog Walking!

I am grateful for school because it allows me to be with my friends, get a good education and also learn things that are interesting. School also will help you get a good job later in life. At times school can be a good place to share your sense of humor because I love laughing and having a good time.

I give gratitude to having an education because many children all over the world do not have an education. The reason why it is important now is because I just realized it was so boring when I was sick not having work to do. School will lead me to a bright future. If I did not go to school, I would be able to go to work.

I’m thankful for school because if we did not have it, all of us would be dumb. If you go to college you will probably earn more money in your job. You will also be more likely to get a good job. Sometimes school can be boring and frustrating, but when we are older we will appreciate it more.

Here in Michigan the joblessness is dismal. My husband and I often discuss how grateful we are to be employed. We are especially grateful that my husband is working after losing a job twice in the past 2 years. He just plugs along and we find contentment knowing that we are contributing to our society and we have come to realize through gratitude that we have more than enough. I am securely employed as a nurse. We are content with our lives and that brings joy.

I am thankful that I live in a country where I am free to home school my children! School is a privilege and I am very glad for the teaches who gave of themselves to make me a better person. Thank you teachers everywhere, I know it is not an easy job that you do, especialy with the limited resources and actions that you may encounter. Thank you God for knowledge and that my husband has a job!

I am so thankful that all my professors this semester are totally passionate about what they are teaching, and it shows when they lecture. It almost makes it impossible to not pay attention when someone is so excited about what they are talking about. Animated teachers make it so much easier for me to learn, and I feel blessed that although my classes are lots of different subjects, all my professors are great!

I am grateful for school. Without it, I would not be nearly as grateful for weekends and Thanksgiving break.

I love my job and appreciate my employers. They are good to the employees and show their appreciation to us in many ways. It's great to be recognized for the contributions I make to the organization. I truly enjoy my fellow employees, as well. It's great to have such a fine place to call home.

I'm grateful to my son's school. His teachers are loving and kind and share their passion of learning with their students. The school goes out of its way to support and educate parents too. Having him there, has made it easier for me to more fully engage in my work, which has been in flux for over a year.

I'm grateful that my employer has allowed me the flexibility to explore different opportunities over the last several years and has remained support of my efforts. I love the work that I do and the people I meet because of it. I love that my work is honorable and necessary and challenging.

I am extremely blessed to have the honor of teaching a Nurturing Skills for Teen Parents class. This job just kind of fell into my lap, but has been a great experience in every sense of the word. It is amazing to watch these young parents shower love and their infants and to see their eagerness to learn and to try to do the best they can as parents. I am so thankful that I have been handed this opportunity. It is the best job I ever had and probably ever will have. What a wonderful thing to make a difference. Not to mention....the ladies I work with are more than wonderful too!

I love my work! I do leadership consulting and leader coaching. How great it is to be able to support others in their self-discovery, building their capacity to lead and achieve, and redefining success in their lives with a unique, personal definition. I have worked hard to create success for me in this work, and I am grateful that clients come who are willing and eager to do the hard work of self-discovery. It warms my heart and gives my life meaning and purpose.

I am grateful for work because it takes my mind away from stuff and I get money for it because I am broke, to save or by stuff. It also helps my mom and dad. I also will just do chores so I am not as messy and unorganized.

I am taking some courses -with the aid of technology right here at home! I am in a coaching program and I am also earning a certificate in interior decorating! Totally wonderful - by phone on line and with people across the country and the world! Would you have imagined this as common place a decade ago?

I loved my job teaching, and little did I realize that it would fund my retirement. I feel lucky that through the system, I was able to save enough for retirement. Getting a check every month is terrific. At first I didn't feel like I deserved it, but then I thought of all the years I had put into the fund. I hope that it doesn't run out for other people. It is a good plan.

I am grateful that I went on to grad school to get my MBA because it is serving me well now. It seems to provide some level of automatic credibility, opening doors and bringing in business effortlessly and joyfully. Plus, it sure looked great on the cover of my first book! Ph.D. - here I come!

I am grateful for work because it has caused us to develop a degree of dicipline that we would not have. I am grateful because it helps us develop a sense of accountability.

I am grateful for the work experiences I had prior to starting a family which enabled me and empowered me to be a full-time parent. Almost a decade after leaving business, I am thankful for the people who mentored me and the variety of people and situations I worked in. I consider this my on-the-job training for parenthood. In writing this I realize I am most grateful for the opportunity to “work” at being caregiver, teacher, provider, mentor, motivator and playmate for my two kids.

As much as work annoys me at times, I'm grateful that I have a job that pays enough because I know way too many people that are currently unemployed. I'm grateful that my supervisor is willing to listen to my suggestions because I see those areas where our department needs help more than others might due to my position.
