Sometimes they help out with a few eggs or they take in your mail when you're out of town. You don't usually get to pick them but sometimes they become good friends. Do you have a neighbor that you are grateful for? Let us hear about it.
I love my neighbors! Prior to my current neighborhood, every neighborhood I lived in had people that were nice, but didn't participate in much interaction. My current neighborhood is fabulous. I have not only have great neighbors, but have made great friends too.
Thanks for my brother Vincentians, my "neighbors in residence", with all their talents and foibles that help me understand how alike we are.

We're lucky to have wonderful neighbors at both of our homes. Up north, our neighbors help us with projects and watch over our home when we're away. Back in Detroit, we have very friendly neighbors. It's nice to live near good people.
I'm thankful for my whole neighborhood because whenever I want to play with a friend, I can just walk a few feet away. It's fun to live surrounded by friends.
I am grateful for my neighbors because they are very kind, they let my family use their car and their house when they’re away, and sometimes even cook us a nice warm dinner on those cold winter days. I wish we could repay the favor, which we do, but it’s not as good as theirs, when we’re feeling blue.
I am very thankful for our neighbor downstairs, because he helped my husband move almost all of our furniture into our new condo without knowing us; it made us feel so welcome and at home. They also home brew delicious beer that they share and I am grateful for their company.

He always waters that patch of grass between our houses. He's very sweet.

I have to admit we have been having some pretty serious issues with one of our neighbors as of late. If you asked about them I might not be able to give much testimony about gratitude. But they are not my only neighbors! Most of my other neighbors are related and/or very good friends! I am so thankful for that! Even the ones we are not that close too are awesome. Family, close friends or not we respect each other & look out for each other~all the good neighborly stuff!
Our next door neighbours are great - their kids are 10 years younger than our own, but we all 'click' - my kids watch over theirs, they help us out so much, and it's great when we can sit and enjoy a visit on one of our decks. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful family next door to us.
I have a neighbor who has all sorts of physical ailments plus she's hard of hearing and she's almost 100 years old. Yet she has a good sense of humor goes to bingo with the girls, Atlantic City on a bus to gamble and best of all she's of Czechoslovakian decent like me. We bonded on the last part. My wish for her is she gets to celebrate her 100th birthday. I'm so thankful for Ann in my life.
I live in a very small town in the mountains. The majority of the residents look out for each other. If there's a crisis, someone will come to the rescue. It is an unspoken code among us. What a wonderful safety net! I am truly grateful!

Many times people have said they wished they lived in my neighborhood because my neighbors have FUN and would do anything for you. It’s a great mix of young and old. I’m grateful for the many nights of sitting on neighbors’ porches or around a fire talking, laughing, watching the kids.

I am so thankful that my parents made friends with all the families with kids around my age in my neighborhood. It gave me people to play with at all times, and I now have life long friends that I get to see when I go home. We had so much fun playing and camping and going on ski trips and everything else when I was young, and I am very thankful for these opportunities and the friendships that have come of them.
Sadly, I do not know many of my neighbors but I do feel very grateful to live in a neighborhood that is safe, where my children can play outside without me worrying. It's a nice place.
I am so grateful to live in a neighborhood where our neighbors are willing to look out for each other. If we aren't home, we have a neighbor that picks up our paper for us. When we had pets, we had neighbors who would feed them and look after them when we were out of town. Most importantly, we have great neighbors that I can trust my children with. I know that if I am not home when the bus drops my son off after school, he always has a safe place to go and wait for me. The best thing about my neighborhood is that there are so many children. My children have made many nice friends with the children that live around us!
I am a single mom of 2 who lives in a wonderful neighborhood. I have a corner lot, and a push mower, so if my son and I don't get to the lawn mowing in a "timely" fashion, our neighbor Joe comes out with his big riding mower and finishes our lawn in about 10 minutes! I'm so grateful for Joe, who is such an easy-going, generous man. His motto is "let go and let God." Wise words I try to remember often.
I am very grateful for my neighbor and friend, Terry. She has helped me out many times driving my son to school in the morning and never asked anything in return. I still had a little one home, so it really made life a little easier. Thanks Terry
We feel grateful to live in our neighborhood! our neighbors are friendly, supportive, sweet, genuine and caring people who have welcomed us as part of the community.
We live in a great neighborhood which has a sense of community within the greater San Fernando Valley. I know my neighbors to the left and behind me are watching out for us as we are them. I am grateful for my neighbor Pat down the street. She ia a great gardener and I look forward to passing by her house and watching her roses grow I take all my gardening cues from her!

I'm grateful for our current next door neighbors because they are dog lovers who never complain about loud or late family get togethers and yet are the first to rally the neighborhood to mutual aid if there is a neighborhood wide issue (flooding/potholes/etc). We are blessed. I'm grateful too for our long time friends and neighbors in NY...we cooked together, hung out, and yet always knew when we needed our own space. It is a great friendship when you can be separated by so many miles now and still be able to feel like it was just yesterday whenever we do get together.
I am so grateful for my neighbor Fatimah. She has been a real blessing to me as I move through life now as a single mom. My daughter is 10 months and Fatimah was right here the day I brought her home from the hospital.
